CBC stretches 'Coronation Street' pact
LONDON -- Canadian pubcaster CBC has reupped its contract to license U.K. blue-collar cleaning cleaning soap "Coronation Street." The multi-year agreement with ITV Art galleries Global Entertainment the first time includes digital catch-up rights enabling auds to check out the show in Canada via iTunes and also on CBC's own VOD service. In Canada, cases of "Coronation Street," the flagship cleaning cleaning soap for U.K. web ITV since the sixties, air roughly nine several days following a U.K. broadcasts, though new, daily transmissions at 6.30 p.m. Canadian audiences may ultimately get together with Blighty.
